APPEAL FOR 4 NEEDY ZAKAH ELIGIBLE FAMILIES WHO ARE ALL IN EXTREME POVERTY (zakah, sadaqah, sadaqah jariyah accepted)
Please donate however much you can for our 4 needy families. 100% of your donations are used to carry out the work by us on the ground for the families. All cases have been assessed directly by us to determine needs. We root out trusted sources to work with. This is a grassroots project.
*Updates from 2020-2021*
1) FAMILY 1 (Cancer patient & his family-Bangladesh): Just before Ramadan we collected for a cancer patient who is now receiving contribution for his medical treatment thanks to your donations. This is ongoing and his extremely poor family are also in need of support to get by.
Continuing to collect with £1200 TO MEET TARGET. Any donations above target or if medical need ceases, will continue to support the family or the other families based on need.
2) FAMILY 2 (Sudan house build for a widow with autistic children who lived in a home with no roof made of bamboo and scraps): last Ramadan we collected for the house build and raised £4780 (fell below target). AlhamduliAllah with your donations we have built a brick house with 2 bedrooms, a sitting room and a kitchen. The work was delayed by lockdown restrictions and price of materials soared hence there were no further collections to meet our target. With your donations and the help of voluntary workers the basic build is complete alhamduliAllah. Now restrictions have been lifted we need to finish the work for the family by a) installing doors and windows b) floor cement c) wall plastering d) decorating. TARGET £1500-£2000

*New projects 2021-2022*
3) FAMILY 3 (a family in Nigeria of 13 children and 2 adults relying on handouts from family and friends, constantly in risk of homelessness due to inadequate income to cover rent and food costs etc). We are working with one of their trusted family members in the UK to fundraise to:
a) Provide funds for food for the family beyond Ramadan
b) Support the children’s needs and costs
c) Open up a sustainable income opportunity for the father to provide for his family in the long-term
d) Fund future rent costs if needed to ensure we prevent the risk of homelessness which the family faces every year
TARGET: £1000 of £7000 (collaboratively being collected). To donate specifically to this project, reference: Nigeria
4) FAMILY 4 (a family of 4 in extreme poverty living in a tin house struggling to feed themselves-Bangladesh). Their case has been assessed by us personally. We would like to build them a simple brick house to provide adequate shelter. TARGET: £4500
Please reference clearly if ‘zakah’ or if ‘sadaqah jariyah’. All the projects are for needy families so funds will be allocated to the 4 projects based on need. Sadaqah jariya specific donations will go to the work for family 2 and 4.
